We welcome program ideas and speaker recommendations from our members.
Since we receive hundreds of program proposals that must be reviewed by
staff and our Program Advisory Board, we ask that you submit the
information requested on the
Suggestion Form. This
will help us to give full consideration to your proposal now as well as
consider it in the future if we choose not to schedule at this time.
Churchill programs are generally panels with 3-4 speakers and a
moderator. Most often, we do a roundtable, moderated discussion format
with little or no individual formal presentations or powerpoint. We try
to schedule topics that appeal to a broad segment of Silicon Valley with
speakers who are articulate, open, and maybe a bit contrarian. We also
may schedule a major CEO as a one-on-one with a journalist/peer or a meet
the press.
The best programs are usually a mix of practical information, visionary
thinking, compelling anecdotes, and opinionated discussion with a touch
of wit and irreverence.
Successful proposals most often include:
- A suggested program title
- Short "marketing" paragraph outlining the point-of-view of the program
and why it would be of interest to our members
- Other executives who would be appropriate for the panel and whether
you have connections to contact those potential panelists.
- We consider each proposal based upon the strength of the proposed
panelists, the newsworthiness of the topic, recent and future confirmed
programs and the potential appeal to our members.
Due to the number of proposals we receive, we cannot always give an
immediate answer to each and every one. The review process is often two
to three months. So we thank you in advance for your patience in awaiting
a response.
We do thank you for your interest in the Club and we hope that we will be
able to work together on a future Club program.
